So, the Tea Wine has been bottled. This is some pretty damned tasty stuff. Slight effervescent tingle to it, and I’m sure it’ll just get better with age.
Definitely tempted to make it again! Could experiment with different teas.
In the end, fermented for a month, racked and then left on lees for another month.
Pretty rare stuff, less than 2 litres all bottled up. So tempting to break the seal on one of the badboys right now.

Happy Star Wars Day!

Taking One For The Team

… and having a packet of Cheese & Onion crisps.

Don’t worry guys, I got this.

You won’t have to suffer anymore.

This time last year, I was hitchhiking to Morocco.
Look at this picture.
LOOK AT IT!!!
It’s a man … at night … in the Djemma El Fna.
Pretty cool huh?

One of these is on the list whilst I’m on holiday.
Maybe not the whole set, but a few mugs and a coffee pot for when me and the missus are camping.
Reminds me, need to tune the car when I’m back.

Au Revoir

So, my plan of posting more often failed.

I might do a last ditch effort and queue up a load of snazzy pics whilst I’m away, just to keep your minds sufficiently enticed.

But alas, I am of to holiday in La France for a few weeks, and I’m very much excited.

Got a few things to look out for gift-wise whilst I’m out there.

A bientot.

Sam

Trying to get a label together for my latest beer, a Stout at 4.3%.
Had a little go at some typography, a good way to waste spend an hour.
What do we all think? Input would be greatly appreciated.

Tea

Now, as an Englishman, I love a good old cup of tea? I’ll take mine with 2 sugars please.

As a student however, I like to get drunk through the medium of alcohol every now and then.

Mix the two together and BOOM, alcoholic tea. Make a cup of tea as standard (leaves here, no crappy bags) and put roughly 10 times the amount of sugar you would normally take.

I’ve just made 2 litres of the stuff and it’s hopefully started fermenting by tomorrow morning. I’ll keep you posted.
